We’re having some problems with Community Weaver (i.e., the software the Time Bank uses to post service requests and track time credits.)
You are presently unable to communicate with people on the time bank by sending a message through “View Request & Send Message” service in the Time Bank software.
You’ll have to communicate via email with the person listing the request instead.
There are two ways to do this:
1) From the “Give and Receive” Tab
- Click on either “All Requests” or “All Offers”
- Under the “Who” column – click on the name of the person whose services you want to use (or need to use)
- Under the profile picture, click on the link “Send X an Email”. An email will pop up in Outlook (or your main email software) filled in with the email address of the person you wish to communicate with.
2) From the “Community” Tab
- Click on “Member Search” in the left hand column
- Search for the member you wish to communicate with by putting in their last (and first) name in the appropriate box.
- From the search results, click on the name of the person you want to communicate with.
- Under the profile picture, click on the link “Send X an Email”. An email will pop up in Outlook (or your main email software) filled in with the email address of the person you wish to communicate with.
A new version of Community Weaver is due out within the next couple of months. In the meantime, please be patient with the service as it is, as tomorrow will be a brighter day!
